This week as Thanksgiving approaches I find I am thankful for so many things. I saw all the Facebook posts that expressed thankfulness for so many wonderful things and it prompted me to share all that I am thankful for.
I am thankful for my family. My wonderful husband is so much a blessing to me. Words are not adequate to express my thanks to God above for blessing me with such an incredible man. He completes me, he loves me unconditionally when I’m unloving, he is patient with me when I’m inpatient, he cares for our family, he loves our son, and cares for his well being. I am thankful for his job and all that he does to keep our family sustained, fed and in our home. In such a troublesome time, I am thankful he has a job and is willing to work so hard. My precious son is such a shining blessing to me. He keeps me on my toes, spreads joy in our home. He shines for Jesus, he has such a tender loving heart. He has such a keen mind that wants to learn amidst the inner struggle of a little boy who wants to play!
I am thankful for my home. I am thankful that I can stay home and take care of our home that God has blessed us with. Even when I feel inadequate to do so….
I am thankful for our church and a Pastor that is humble and seeking to be at the feet of our Savior Jesus Christ. God has placed us in a church where we are being fed and learning to open our hearts to His instruction, guidance and teaching. I am thankful that we know we are where God wants the three of us right now. That is a blessed place to be.
I am thankful for my extended family. My Mother, all my sisters and brothers and nieces and nephews. They are all such a blessing and joy to me. I am so thankful they are a part of our family and such wonderful friends to me. My Mother is such a beautiful, giving, loving person and I’m thankful she is my Mom and for the example she is to us.
I am thankful for my husband’s family. They are so loving and Love being with family. It is such a joy to be with them and to know they love me and my precious little family. I am thankful for the things they teach me.
I am thankful for friendships that are true, rich and Christ centered. They hold me accountable, listen to me, and care for me and my family. I’m thankful for friends that pray for me and my family and that I can pray for them and their family.
I am thankful for this great country we live in. We are an awesome country that was founded on Godly principles by men who sought freedom. Because of their perseverance we have many freedoms that many countries do not have.
I am thankful for those freedoms that so many times I take for granted and don’t think about. I am thankful for those men and women who have fought for, been wounded for and lost their lives for our freedoms.
I am thankful that I have the freedom to raise our son the way we are led to by God. I am thankful to be able to homeschool our son. I am thankful for the freedom to worship as we feel led.
Most of all I am thankful for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. His death and resurrection on the cross has made me a new creation. My love for Him grows more and more everyday. He sustains me, carries me, protects me, loves me, and teaches me. He is my life, my joy and my Blessed Redeemer.
These things that I am thankful for are what make me who I am. This is what my life is centered around. I have a blessed life and I am so thankful for the many, major parts of my life. Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I hope your day is full of blessings and much Thankfulness as you celebrate with your family.
